Ho Ho Ho!

CHRISTMAS JAMMIES!!

We let the kids open up their Christmas PJ's on Christmas eve! Then we thought Braylee would be excited to go to bed so that Santa could come leave her some presents. Boy were we wrong. We spent the next hour calming her down because she didn't want to hear Santa while she was in her bed. At one point, she even told us to call Santa and tell him not to come because she had enough presents to open under our tree! Finally, she decided that she would go to bed if we let her sleep in our bed. Then we realized that we forgot to put out the milk and cookies for Santa and we had to start the whole think over again! We did end up putting out three chocolate cookies for Santa and so chocolate milk because that is what "Max & Ruby" put out for Santa. (If it weren't for that dumb little show, Santa wouldn't have got any cookies from our house!)

This is Tyson with his favorite Christmas toy. It is the cutest little animal zoo. All the animals are on wheels and they roll around the zoo. He loves it! Santa did good!

Christmas morning was very chaotic. I got up at 6:00 and ran over to my parents house to talk to Cole on the phone!!! I was the only one that went over because we didn't know how we could drag the kids out of bed and tell them not to look at their toys from Santa until we get back from Grandma's house. So I talked to Cole for a little bit, which was so great to finally hear his voice! He sounded to great! I don't know if he is not telling us the whole truth, but to me it sounds like he is having the time of his life and soaking up all of these new life experiences. I talked to him and told him that I was the only one that was able to come over and he was really sad that he didn't get to talk to Skylar or Braylee, so I ran home and we opened all our presents and we got to call Cole from our house when my parents were finished. Braylee was rambling to him like he never left. It was adorable. Cole seemed to understand everything she was telling him. She is always talking about him. The other day I was listening to her talk to her two friends. They were asking if she was going to go to Disneyland for her birthday and she said, "No, but maybe I'll go to Thailand and visit Cole!" Needless to say they were pretty confused. And she is always taking paper out of our printer and telling me that she has to "E-Mail" Cole. It is pretty funny. So, she hasn't forgot about you bud!

This is Braylee's favorite toy! It is called a Woopsie Doo. It is a doll that you feed real food to and it really goes to the bathroom. We haven't taught her those two features yet and we are hoping that she doesn't find out! She just thinks that you are suppose to pretend that it goes to the bathroom. It's our little secret! Braylee told me about 20 times that this was the best Christmas ever, and I think she was right!

After we got done with all our presents, we went over the Grandma Julie's and Grandpa Kevin's for breakfast and presents. They spoiled us (and especially our kids)! When we got done opening everything, Skylar and I looked at each other and were both very nervous about fitting all of our new treasures in our already bulging house! Thanks for everything Kevin and Julie...you guys did way to much! We love you!

After Grandma & Grandpa Dyreng's we were off to Grandma & Grandpa Harris'. We got there at about 1:00. We ate, and ate, and ate some more. Then we had a little spiritual message from each family. Mom thought we should spend a little time reflecting on the real reason we celebrate this holiday. Thanks Mom for putting a little perspective on things. There really is no greater gift than the one our Savior gave us! Then we all opened up our gifts from the person that drew our names. I got the cutest shirt from mom, and Skylar got a gift card to Sears from Luke. I guess a guy can't ever have too many tools! Then we all opened up our gifts from Mom and Dad...I got a bread maker! I am so excited! It's pretty neat! You put all the ingredients in at once and then you enter the time that you want the bread to be done and push start. It mixes, kneads, rises, and bakes all in the same machine! Thanks Mom and Dad!!! Braylee was so cute when she opened up her present from Grandma and Grandpa. She got it all unwrapped and kept saying "Thank you this is what I always wanted for Christmas!" She was so excited! Then we ate dinner, which was a delightful corned beef and cabbage with a side of turkey! There's nothing like mom's cookin! After that we played Bunko! We were playing for awesome prizes, so the game got quite crazy. I left with a $50 gift card to Nordstrom, with which I bought a new black pea coat! We had an awesome Christmas. Thanks everybody! You spoiled the heck out of us! We are so blessed to have so many people who care about us!

The Lights!

Braylee loved the lights. She kept running from place to place until we had seen every possible thing there was to see. Her favorite part was the gigantic tree made of white lights right in front of the temple.
Tyson was so cute as we were walking around. If you know Tyson at all, you know that he loves lights. His first word was uh oh, but his second was definitely light. He sat in his stroller for an hour and a half all bundled up and didn't make a peep. He was just amazed at all the lights.

Braylee wanted to see the baby Jesus, so dad carried her around on his shoulders until we found Him. I think she was a little disappointed because she thought He was going to be a real baby.

Cole we found a Thai luminary sack for you, on Temple Square!

And of course we had to find a Korean one for Sky too!!

We had a lot of fun looking at all the beautiful lights. You would think that would get old year after year, but I can't wait to go back next year and don't think the kids can either!

New Christmas Clothes From Grandma Stephie!

I think we took about 50 pictures of them and these are about the only pictures that turned out good. Tyson was so cranky and everytime he would smile Braylee was looking off into space somewhere. It was quite a project, but aren't they cute?!!! Thanks Grandma Stephie!

Who's Is Better?

This was our gingerbread Washington Monument!

Kenzi and Luke's log cabin!

Whitnie and Brock's Hansel and Grettle house (because they got done first so they stole all the candy)! Ha Ha Ha!

Brian, Angie and Mary's house of DETAIL! (Notice the fence made out of gumdrops and pretzels.)

Breakfast With Santa!!

We had breakfast with Santa at the Davis Conference Center on Saturday. As you can see, Braylee still didn't want to see Santa this year. She was screaming her head off, and had a death grip around my neck. I didn't get a picture of them but she was scared to death of the Grinch and the REAL SL mascot too!! Every time any of them came near our table she would slowing slide off her chair and hide under the table.

Tyson, on the other hand was staring at him intently and playing with his beard. Santa almost didn't give him back!

Grandma with ALL the grand kids (for four more weeks)!

They got to decorate gingerbread cookies, which is Braylee's favorite thing! She loves anything with sprinkles. There was a mound of sprinkles on her cookie that I had to dump on the table. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Whit!

Yay! Its Finally Here!!!

Braylee loves to play in the snow! She kept coming up to the screen door and telling me that she was having so much fun and that she loves the snow. When she was cold and decided to come back in, I made her some hot chocolate. I made the mistake of making mint hot chocolate and she wouldn't drink it cause it "tasted like candy"! Go figure!
