California: Day 3 & 4!

When we woke up, we went to the Orange County swap meet. We love the swap meet. There are some interesting people at the swap meet, but you can find some pretty good deals there! After we had our fun there, we made our way back to Disneyland. We decided to go over to California Adventure this time, which turned out to be a really good plan because it was dead! We were able to do the entire Bugs Life land in about 20 minutes!

We went on the Bugs Life train, and when we got done there was no one in line. We ended up going around several times without getting off, which turned out not to be such a good idea because Braylee wanted to stay on every ride from there on out!

Sunday we went to the beach. Crescent Bay is our favorite California beach cause there are lots of tide pools to explore in! It was pretty cold, but we had fun anyway. We took a picnic, made sand castles and listened to the waves.

Tyson really enjoyed his peanut butter sandwich:)

Tyson was getting pretty restless in his stroller so we let him loose. He bolted for the water as soon as he was free and we couldn't keep him away from it. Needless to say, our car was full of sand when we got back to the hotel. On our way back we stopped at our favorite dessert shop in California: "Sprinkles". It is the cutest little cupcake shop in Newport Beach. I should have taken a picture so you could see how delicious they look, but we devoured them too fast.
Braylee was so worn out when we got home that she made herself a little bed on the floor and fell asleep!

California: Day 2!

Heading out for the day! Can't you just see the excitement and anticipation on her cute little face?

I think we rode the Dumbo ride about 15 times in the five days that we were at Disneyland! It is the cutest ride. As you are standing in line, they hand you a "magic" black feather so you can help Dumbo fly. Braylee thought that was the greatest thing ever.

And, of course we Merry-go-round about as much as we rode Dumbo. The other pics are in the Submarine of the Finding Nemo ride. That ride is amazing. You look out the windows and you can see all the coral reefs and fish and then you can see scenes from the moving being played out. The details are incredible!

The Parade
Look at Braylee's face...we had just found Minnie in the parade!

California: Day 1!

After driving ALL night we got to the hotel at about 8:30am. This was rough for me and Skylar while switching off and trying to keep each other awake, but the kids were only awake for about and hour of the whole drive. That kept us sane:) The kids were ready to play when we arrived, so we went for a swim! The weather was so nice.

Then, after a 3 hour family nap, we headed off to Down Town Disney. We stayed in the Marriott right across the street from Disneyland, so we were able to walk almost everywhere we went. We found Grandma and Grandpa's Disney brick, went shopping, and ate at the Rain Forest Cafe. Do you think Tyson was hungry or what?!

Aren't these the cutest Carmel apples you have ever seen? We were also amazed at the Woody made completely of Lego's!

Happy Birthday Princess!!!

Braylee turned 4 yesterday!!!! Wow!! I still can't believe she is that old. The day started out a little rough. She wasn't feeling so well. That's just our luck. 365 days in the year and she had to get sick on her birthday. By mid afternoon she was doing much better and perked when she found her present. This is a picture her birthday banner that I made for her.

She has been begging us to take her to Build-A-Bear, so we took her for her birthday. Right when we walked in she knew exactly which bear she wanted. We tried to make sure she saw all of her choices before she picked one, but she knew she wanted the pink bear!

I should have taken a picture of the finished product. We walked out with a pink bear wearing a pink dress, with pink bows! What can I say...the girl loves pink:)

Yes that is the Michael Jackson movie! Her grandparents and her aunt both have this movie and she watched it with us about 6 months ago. I think she has seen it about 100 times since then. She loves Michael Jackson. It is so funny to watch her sing all the songs. She can tell you exactly what is going to happen next.
Cake
Thanks everybody for spoiling her! She had a great birthday!!
